True. I did MSP-DTW for 7 years ish. It's a biotch. Most of the time I had to go through MKE. Especially in the summer. I wouldn't want to do MSP-ATL either.

Implied there will be very little if no 200 slots, but you never know. Said that 900 is the growth plane moving forward.

Then a bunch of negotiations updates, nothing you haven't read in a Hotline. Slow going. Trying for long call, looks good. Positive space commuter (2nd try) like DL has. Trying for more per diem. 83 hrs is the number..... Again, these were just updates on priorities. "Shooting" for Q1 2018 vote, but that sounded hopeful. Don't expect anything this year.

So were you just in RGS? Next year for new contract. Guess were still
a long ways apart.

Haha yea. And yes it seems so. They're trying to Whittle down the smaller items first and tackle the pay issue towards the end it sounds like.

Said they actually don't have the next major meeting scheduled yet. Just smaller issue meetings. So take that what you will.

Who is telling the Alpa reps that the pilots want 83 hrs. The Alpa reps are the voice of the pilots, they in turn tell the negotiators what numbers the pilot group want. I have yet to her one pilot say they are happy with that number.

No idea. Chairman was giving the briefing and said it was a counter to the company's 88 hour offer. He said that 83 hours per month seems to be an industry standard credit average across regionals. I've heard a couple reps say now that 75 is "just not possible".

I'm not in love with that number either, just reporting what was said

I'm ok with 83 hours but there better be a 5% raise to go with it.

The negotiators will negotiate anything that the pilots tell the Alpa reps they want. If the pilot group tells the reps to negotiate Delta rates and the a flow they will. Stand strong and we can get rid of this regional mentality. Raise the bar to where it should be. Believe it or not letting the bonus expire will be a good thing. With more a/c coming, they need to make this place as appealing as possible. Without a bonus or a healthy pay increase with a flow, they will never be able to properly staff this airline. Tell your reps what you want. I would say Delta rates with flow. Stand strong!

Ugh, I will be one of the first to get displaced from MSP and commute for the first time in 10 years. Absolutely dreading it. Probably be able to hold a 16-17 day off line in either of the New York bases though. That's what I am leaning towards at the moment. Is either one an easier commute? LGA has 7 flights, JFK has 4, ATL has 11...

More per diem is good, positive space for commuters is very good, long call is a waste, 83 is not acceptable unless it comes with a $3 hr raise at least. Vacation slide, AFTER the schedules come out, would be awesome too.

Why is long call a waste? Allows people that commute to reserve to sit at home until they are given an assignment. Seems like a pretty good deal for something that would cost the company almost nothing.
