Unlike a flow, where you can sit where ever you want and upgrade when you think your ready and still go when your number is called, The program we have at Endeavor encourages people to upgrade at the earliest opportunity possible to get thier number "in line". Most people are willing to learn, you just have to be willing to teach and advise your FOs.

The best CA's I have flown with fly by the book, take their time, are inclusive, generate a atmosphere of teamwork and safety, and are sociable. I'm not asking you to change. I am asking you to take a long hard look at yourself before you start blaming everyone else.
I flew with one of those 2,000 wonder captains last week. I had 1500 more hours of multi turbine than him. That being said he was one of the sharpest guys I had flown with that was a HMC. By the book and we had no issues. We're all human. The CA that flew in that thunderstorm the other week had been here 20 years. Easy to point fingers when you make assumptions.
Then maybe instead of shaking your head be a mentor and help them improve. Don't forget how much influence you have especially to new FO's. They watch CA's like Hawks so they can mimic your behavior. If you don't follow SOP and you sit in the left seat and ***** about the SSP then they are going to be irritable and break SOP just as much.

stillcantfly-Being a new FO, I think I can speak to this. Nothing makes a trip go by slower than a disgruntled CA who really offers nothing in the way of mentorship other than why DAL sucks. Going from a single piston to a jet isn't just a hop skip and a jump and a lot of new guys are coming from a CFI background. Apologies if we aren't all Chuck Yeager on the stick right out of the school house. I don't think any of us are intentionally trying to make you shake your head. Instead of that, maybe offer up some advice, or lead by example? Most of us are trying to learn...

I've worked for both Envoy and Endeavor. Envoy does not even compare to Endeavor. Yes Envoy has the flow, they had it when I started in 2011 and my class is still 4 years from flowing. It is very hard to get hired off the street to American if you work for Envoy so plan on spending a decade before you flow. If you live in base for Envoy, don't mind making less money, 6 month wait to complete training or the crappy management then by all means go to Envoy.

Well how about this for fun then. Statements below from the DAL July 13 earnings call. Not groundbreaking info but this is the clearest indication I've heard to date that we won't co-exist with the C Series, it's bumping us from NYC.
Delta confirmed it will use its first Bombardier C Series narrowbodies scheduled for delivery next year on high-value routes now served by large regional jets as well as for new markets that fit the 100-seater’s profile.
“For high-demand, 76-seat, long-range RJ markets…that will probably be the first selection” for new C Series twinjets, Delta President Glen Hauenstein said.
Delta plans to base the first C Series in New York,” he added. “I won't tell you where it's going to go, but it will start in New York.”

The 900's will then replace the 200's in those markets.
Republic and/or GoJets CPA's will be wound up and airframes moved to 9E.

CS100 will replace a combination of CRJ900 and EMB175 "top tier" flying and open up longer range flying that the current aircraft cannot support.
