It's company shills like you that make it hard with your **** poor attitude of work, work, work. Get outside, get a significant other, get a hobby. Who knows, you might actually like it.

Another point: what kind of idiot do you have to be to think ANY pilot should be getting their pay cut in this job market?

👏🏻 Exactly! It's like this BS about about XJT....Those pilots have families.....our growth shouldn't come from another's downsizing. UNION we are not!

I'm not dodging work. I work everyday I'm scheduled to, and yet here I am facing a pay cut. You want to be a "go-getter" fine, but don't lobby for us so-called "slackers" to lose pay. That's misplaced ignorance and selfishness. Majors want well rounded individuals, hence the volunteerism and outside activities that make a difference in getting an interview. Must be how so many "lazy" 75 hour pilots got CJOs.
Some people actually have a life and family outside of work. If trips were more efficient, we could strike a better balance. Nobody should have to be away from home more than half the month.

So you'd rather that flying go somewhere else? Don't hate the player, hate the game. If XJT birds come to us and those guys want to join us, I'll welcome them with open arms. Blame the non-unionized shop that owns them for letting it get to this point. Like many of us who saw the light at our previous carriers, the grass is much more lush in this yard.

Right, and let's not forget that OO/EV received 28 of our jets. 16 900s and 12 200s.

There will never be a flow.
1. There wont ever be a flow as far as I can tell.
2. The Pilot shortage is not as bad as its made out to be.
3. The will cherry pick their desired DGI candidates and the rest of the requirements will be met from the street(military and other shrinking regionals like ASA/Expressjet).
4. The ones who dont make it thru in DGI have the option of staying here or going someplace else after waiting 2 years for an interview opportunity.
5. By the time everyone figures this out an Ab Initio program may suddenly be ready to keep the new hire rate at present levels.
6. If flow or stapling was an option, it would have already happened.
