Gotcha. That makes sense.

Pre-check doesn't always happen

I always get pre-check when I non-rev. Thought it was the norm.

Which, when you think about it, makes no sense at all. Why does wearing a uniform mean we can carry extra liquids? Why does the company ID and/or a KCM database verification mean anything? Never have understood that logic...

I suppose if you are in uniform and definitely identified as a pilot, then supposedly you aren't carrying extra liquid on to create a bigger explosion in order to try and blow up the plane.

Thanks for all the insights. I plan on going through security with the kids since they are both under three and would feel like a heel passing through KCM and waiting on the other side while my wife, who is a somewhat seasoned traveler, herds cats through the most heartless 50 feet of any journey.

Smart. That attitude will go a long way towards marital bliss

Read the FOM in regards to non-reving. I'm believe wearing the uniform for non work related travel is against SOP. My advice is follow TSA guidelines with regards to liquids.
