Sure, Unions totally ignore all pay but the pay rates when negotiating new contracts. Do you really believe that? Do you have any room to talk on this subject anyway? You work for one of the worst paid Airbus operators in the world, literally you are in the bottom 10% in the whole world. Which is worse for the industry? Endeavor pilots getting a 20K bonus or you flying an Airbus at wages far below industry standard?

I won't take that bait but I'll give you a nibble. Yes, payrates are looked at and when determining industry average wage rate the hourly rates matter. They won't include a 20k bonus for pattern bargaining and comparison purposes and not to mention this bonus goes away at some point in the near future for whatever date they announced. In the bigger picture, this outlier is ignored. As for your 'Bus comments I really encourage you to go to APC and read up on what we make. It's not the best, but it certainly isn't the worst that you make it seem to be. This year's payraise was hourly-rate pay parity with jetBlue's previous year pay (2014 rate) which was effective at the time. This summer jetBlue got their increased to 2015 but at the time, we pretty much matched their rates. And jetBlue has the highest A320 pay rates after the 3 legacies.

Anyways... Yeah we do have Thanksgiving and the Friday off, but class resumes Saturday and finishes Sunday, so not an ideal time to take a break for me. Doesn't seems to bother anybody in class, a few extra days to prepare for the final. Seems interviews are still moving along decently, will be interested to see 2016 and their desires of hiring 60/month.

So, currently in the mid 30's for crj200's on property and looking to have ~59 before the end of 2016.

To do this their goal is to hire over 60 a month.

To get the 60+ per month they are negotiating a massive LOA and firm fleet count.

The retention payment announcement this time last year was worth a lot of money and negotiated and announced without anyone knowing what was going on. How large of a package is this new offer going to be to nearly double the current hiring numbers...

It's actually a concession thats being prepared. The LCA/FO thing that delta pilots rejected is coming to us. To offset the concession, alpa is looking for things like parking stipend, vacation pay increase, open time premium, in-base hotel rooms if your pairing gets interrupted in base, and maybe a couple of things else. No extra money in the deal being considered and no career progression being considered. Oh and your MEC may even simply make the decision for you without the pilot group's vote. I don't know what to make of it all.

The "LCA/FO" aspect may need to be changed in your mindset. We currently block pairings in PBS for instructors (both CA/FO, mostly CA) it would now extend to line check airman for OE purposes. The question mark is now (as purposed) "when" it would occur... Prior to bid? Ok.. During bid.. Fine... When CA lines are final and before FO lines are run (meaning FO's won't know what to bid FOR in PBS)... That could be a problem. On the other hand, it can be convenient as you won't get bought off... Which can be far worse than flying your original trip.

Believe me when I say it's known to the negotiators.... If you are an FO and bought off it can get VERY ugly, especially if you are rather senior and have a good trip. Been there, done that, not cool. Personally passed on my sentiments in a native 4-letter emphasized language to those at the table. We e been running tests in PBS for a while. It gets weird when you block off CA trips for FO's beyond "blocked" FTI trips. So you avoid LCA's and being bought off, but (depending on base) some good trips, as well as some ugly trips, get locked out.

That's understandable then. Abit surprised they're working Sat and Sun though.

Does anyone know where in the contract it says that after 3 days of P3 you are automatically released on the 4th day?
