Unless you are on reserve, and therefor have no pay protections. Nothing like a bunch of 13 hour duty days that pay min day because of all the cancellations that have been happening in New York lately.

We were leaving around that time, called for push and sat for 35 minutes on the blast fence with the beacon running just waiting for ramp to clear the alleyway and let us push. What a mess.

I think the airport is just operating way beyond its capacity. My highlight of the day was sitting for 5 hours (typical 3 scheduled) not getting paid waiting on a plane to show up but there's a ground stop for high winds/weather (27007KT)...ponder on that!
Hope there's some type of duty rig pay being discussed at this company, I've never spent so much time not getting paid!

Is LaGuardia new to some of you? It sounds like the LGA I have known for years

Default Questions...got the invite for phone screen

Long time lurker....I just got the email invite for a phone screening, I was hoping someone could *please* answer a few questions heavy on my mind:

1. How in-depth is the phone screening? Should I be studying for days before calling?

2. Does anyone have an educated guess on how many CRJ-200's, lines opening or pilot openings there will be per month in ATL over the next half year? (perhaps a comparison of how many there were in NY?)

3. Does anyone have an educated guess on the max/min/average time you think it would take to be based in ATL?

4. Any idea if ATL will be a junior or senior base?

5. Are interview dates on certain days of the month? I'm on-call most of the month so could be difficult to get an interview date nailed down this month. Would it hurt me to have to wait until early next month for an interview?

6. Does anyone have an idea of class start dates in June/July?

7. Any chance of CRJ-900's in ATL down the road?

8. Do you go to school on just the 200 or both the 200 and 900 initially?

9. How much is training pay?

Any info would be *greatly* appreciated, I'm sure I will be checking back here more often than I care to admit.

Pretty sure they just call to verify times/eligibility, why you're choosing EDV, etc.

2. Does anyone have an educated guess on how many CRJ-200's, lines opening or pilot openings there will be per month in ATL over the next half year? (perhaps a comparison of how many there were in NY?)

10/14 lines of flying so I think around 100 crews by years end

3. Does anyone have an educated guess on the max/min/average time you think it would take to be based in ATL?

For a new hire FO who knows. But there's lots of movement so I can't imagine more than 6-8 months

4. Any idea if ATL will be a junior or senior base?

probably more senior than NY, otherwise who, knows

5. Are interview dates on certain days of the month? I'm on-call most of the month so could be difficult to get an interview date nailed down this month. Would it hurt me to have to wait until early next month for an interview?

They are pretty flexible with interview dates. You'll also get round trip travel and a hotel room

6. Does anyone have an idea of class start dates in June/July?

IIRC classes run every two weeks and start on mondays

7. Any chance of CRJ-900's in ATL down the road?

Who knows

8. Do you go to school on just the 200 or both the 200 and 900 initially?

We are not dual qualed

9. How much is training pay?

75hr guarantee

Thank you VERY much! I really hope it would be less than 6 months to be based in ATL, I was thinking since it's a new base it'd be easier to be based there and with there being only CRJ-200's I was thinking more senior guys in the -900's wouldn't want to step back down. Thoughts?

Do you mean that 10 of 14 lines are already open in ATL?!

I just renewed mine. I sent it out on a Saturday. They cashed my check on Thursday and I had my passport less than three weeks later. I just did it the normal way and didn't pay for any expedited service or include a letter from the company requesting expedited service. No point in paying extra for expedited service. You are pay protected for anything you miss because your passport is in for renewal. Just send base management an email as soon as you send it out and when you get it back.
