I like when the Flight department gets spooled up because that's the only department that affect change in the company... Compensation/Management Leadership/Morale in mx is still in the crapper from the 2013 bk... how excited are we supposed to get about some 3rd hand 200s that can be parked at any time and 81 900 core flying only guaranteed until Dec.2019... I think we need to get some 175 to stay competitive with Republic and SkyWest if we are to be the 3 still standing when the dust settles... I feel like we are getting passed by in many ways while RG and JD keep saying we are doing great.

The thing that sucks about EDV is there is no movement off the top, it all comes out of the middle.
Anything less than what we are making now is a pay cut. It's pretty simple. If less money is going into my bank account every two weeks then I consider that making less money. Call it short-sighted, but that's what the regionals are.
Regional pilots aren't supposed to be 50+ years old worrying about 30 year pay scales. They should be 20 somethings trying to pay off student loans. Hourly pay is god, and the 10+ year guys should have absolutely zero incentive to stay.
These negotiations should be completely focused on 0-5 year guys and forget everyone else. Selfish? Yes. Smart move by the airline for the times we are in? Yes.
