If you want to get to Delta, you're still better off at an AA wholly owned. At least with the current market. Look at the OTS hire rate of 9E pilots. It's almost nil, because they'd rather poach other carriers. You are more likely to get into Delta OTS from an AA regional than you are from 9E.

You guys are probably 2 months of nearly empty classes for retention overhaul, 2 additional months for a flow.
All the fo's that I fly with are second-guessing the decision to come here. Every pilot that I talk with says that a flow is on the top of the list of the things they would like to see in the near future. Several of the new hires are giving it a window of 1 year and if a solid career progression (flow) is not in place they will bail.

Pretty much sums up what you'll read on any of these forums. I'm one of those recent lateral moves and I'll never question my decision to come here.

The other thing nobody want to talk about is our looming pay cut. If you credit less than 85 hours per month, the current proposal from our negotiating committee is no retention payment and a $19 per hour raise. There are a lot of people sitting reserve that can't credit over guarantee without giving up precious few days off and many people don't want to live at work.
This place was getting a lot better, but I don't know about the direction it's going. I can't in good conscience give out recommendations when there are places offering better. $2000 isn't worth selling my soul for the company's benefit when there's better deals out there for career progression.

You aren't even fully vested until you have 5 years here. Sick leave does nothing unless you take it all, we can't get bought out of it. Are they going to give us more vacation? No.
The cut is $5895 per year at guarantee. No pilot should take any pay cut, period. People thinking about coming here need to know they might be losing that money.
