I know there were a few captain slots not filled but how short are they? I talk to some new captains and they say they never get used while other say it's almost non stop. I didn't make this vacancy because I was 150hrs away. Doesn't bother me too much because I'm guessing there will be another on before or during the summer.

Got the UPS email yesterday that my IPad will ship for delivery NEXT WEEK. There are a number of us who are axiously waiting to go paperless and still waiting on IPads. Yet the last few EFB status emails from management seem to imply that the delay is due to some combination of laziness and/or incompetence on the part of the pilot group. This is classic "pass the buck." Don't fall for it!
We'll be paperless shortly I'm sure. But why not an honest update on the situation instead of this amateur tactic of trying to deflect and turn the pilot group against each other?

Huh, did management suddenly change their hours? Maybe it would've been better to have it shipped to home or a UPS store one works outside of those hours, like P3 or high speeds

Got the shipment email! I'm assuming this is the last shipment of iPads to the DTW office. I was one of the last 50 pilots to complete the LMS so once I get it (scheduled end of the day tomorrow), we should be just about finished with the distribution process.
