That would be an improvement from the 30% in early 2015.

Last time I got line checked I was told it's about 20% on the 900 and 10% on the 200.

FFS, that seems really high to me?

It's all staffing related. If we got another 1000 pilots overnight, we would be able to fulfill Delta's plan in NYC and we could probably have our DTW and MSP flying back from G7 and OO.

What Delta did makes sense, and we are just getting the seemingly bad end of the deal. But even though G7 looks like they're the prettier girl sometimes, I am very certain we are safer and will be happier with the devil we are all dating now. Time will tell.

That metaphor got weird. Sorry.

You're either smart, or you are not. Going to college gets you an education, has nothing to do with making you smart.

Smart people get a degree.

New hire here. Sorry to get off topic. I have a wedding in July that I am in. I am assuming I will be on reserve by then. Is it possible to talk to the base manager to make sure I get the wedding date off?

This 700 rumor is right on schedule, seems this time every year we hear it. But let's just try and dream for a minute. I can almost believe it is possible that they stop taking 200s from expressjet due to the fact that they are in horrendous condition and need a lot more work than they thought they would. But, I don't see them cutting off Gojetz and taking 700s from them because that would just make too much sense. Possibly expressjet instead? Who knows, we'd love to take our PQ 900s back if they don't want them.

The thing I definitely don't believe is the E jets. Who are they gonna come from? Compass? I guess it's possible and we open a west coast base but highly unlikely. That's a huge undertaking opening West Coast operations while also operating a brand new aircraft type at the same time. Seems like too big of a bite that RG wouldn't want to chew. We also don't want to end up with a bunch of frames we can't staff, that will hurt our performance by stretching resources thin and therefore be on daddy's bad side. Only way I see that plane here is with a Compass merger, and we all know we don't want that.

We are probably averaging about 50 new hires a month, with a 15% washout is ~43 new pilots on line per month. So that's a net of about 13 new pilots a month. Which makes sense if you look at ISL 16-01 and 17-01, we are about 150 pilots larger.

We seem to like about 12 pilots per aircraft, but let's just assume 10 to make the math easier and be optimistic. We can take 1.3 airplanes per month, or about 15 per year. We have already made that commitment on the 200, so unless we start swapping out old 200s for 700s/E175s, I don't see how we take a lot of new jets this year beyond what is already planned. You could also make the argument that if we announced 175s with a west coast presence then our recruiting would increase dramatically.
^^^^^^^ finally someone who gets it!!!

Aren't you at Delta? I'll trade places if you want to stick around for it.

Default Previous 2 classes 100% LGA?

Are we done growing JFK at the moment? Is it worth a bid over to LGA on the deuce for a new hire? Relatively new to the PBS game..
