Default Aqp question

Does an fo initial LOE take 4 hours? Seems like a long time for one persons checkride. It's scheduled for 2 hour prebrief, 4 hour flight and a 1 hour post. Is this overscheduled? Just trying to plan flight home.

Depends on if you have an ATP/type or not. They build in extra time in the prebrief for paperwork for those who don't have the type. I was ATP and typed so my oral was about 20 minutes with paperwork. The LOE brief was another 20...they take time to go ever all the elements and make sure you understand the standards and how it will go.

Post-brief is about 30 minutes as long as you performed satisfactorily.

They usually if possible put you with an upgrade Captain or Seat support Captain but regardless there has to be two legs. Obviously there a break and next pilots turn.

Pink Slip P was probably one of the fairest examiners I had in MEM. If he failed your a$z you probably deserved it

In anything it's the opposite. You work more days and get less credit on the 200 due to the short legs.

Last I heard he was at Fed Ex as a sim instructor, but that lasted less than a year. He interview at Spirit in 2015, and words got out. Our old LAS chief pilot (who was also an old 2006 hire Pinnacle FO) found out and made sure he didn't get hired. Pink slip's name came up when I flew with the old LAS chief, which is how i found out about it.

That's true but that's not the reason why people hate him. Some of his comments and questions during check rides rub people the wrong way. I would not want him around our training department, I can tell you that. The way he gives check rides would not work very well here.
