From a management standpoint I sgeee you don't want to give false information, nor do you want to give information that could hurt the bottom line. Updates would be appreciated though.
Go take a peak at the air Wisconsin forums then if you think we are being kept in the dark. Those guys just heard from their CEO for the first time in like 2 years about anything and all she said was "yeah I guess we have something in the works, stay tuned". It could always be worse, least we know something is coming and have a general idea what it may be, just the biggest thing we don't know is when. I'm at least happy I kind of know what. But yeah I agree, it suck to get the stick and carrot from management.

I have scrolled through the AWAC forum and I have friends there. It's a dirty, but "necessary" tactic to avoid a mass hemorrhage of pilots leaving.

It doesn't seem to be working, I've flown with a few from AWAC recently. They all said their class was largely ex AWAC pilots jumping ship. It seems most expect AWAC will simply not have their contract renewed with AA and sell what they can and run with the money.

I think the difference between announcements at 9E and AWAC are worlds apart. Maybe I am responding to the wrong person but someone said something about the correlation between bottom line and announcements. At 9E, there is no bottom line so no announcement can affect profits of any sort. AWAC, not the same.

I agree that AWAC announcing was a shocker but I think it's good business to keep a carrot dangling (information-wise). Delta keeps their peeps apprised of all most going-ons that affect their workgroups. Why can't we?
