What I was told is that outside flying (flight instruction) is allowed but only when approved by the base CP on a case by case basis. However it was in the context that the approval would be unlikely.

That's not flying and so I know of no restrictions on that. But you can bet if you ever need to make a fatigue call it will be scrutinized. Scheduling's mentality is they pay you 75 hours a month to own you entirely.

Best guess DAL is not exercising those options. With the recent announcement of more E175s flying for Delta via SkyWest, Delta could very well be scoped out on 76 seaters. As far as I can tell, Delta's current plan is if we can staff more planes, we will just pull 50 seaters out of the desert and I do not expect any more 900s at 9E in the near future.

27, with 28 coming out of IGM (kingman) this weekend. Hoping to bring it back personally. End plan (last I heard) was 36 total, 32ish lines of flying. Meaning 4 spares between hub spares/MX/paint/refurb in the rotation. We run 81 -900's with 76ish lines of flying for reference, as of last month. We are slowly growing the -200 back in fleet count. Frames vs lines is actual flying is an interesting mix with spares and MX/other requirements.

Those who can't reference frames and lines really don't see and/or know the big picture. It's quite interesting imho. Lots of variables and a cool matrix in the planning process. Good question to ask in your next occ tour for MOD.

Seems like recruitment is doing their part. Two classes a month at 15-20 each.
Know plenty around here going to 9E.
