Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?
First off on have little faith in a southern base, but I sure like to fantasize about it. There are quite a few things pointing in that direction also. Yet there have been many a rumor mentioned on this site that proved to be unfounded rumors. That may be the reason the company has held off on an announcement.
If there is a base opening up there is good reason to hold off till this point. First we needed to get the CL65 type shortened footprint training program up and running. If we open a southern base, there will be a lot of people jumping ship from another regional that need a short training foot print to get them on line. Second is Delta needs to make sure they don't loose lift. If a regional airline finds out a new base opening they are going to jump ship, and if not to a Delta carrier moving the same people Delta will have a hole in it's spokes. Delta needed to place us in the position to hire these guys who will jump if we open a southern base, and be the place they want to come. I think they have almost accomplished all of this. Announcing before and the aircraft would be far out, training not in place, 9E not looking to be the best choice... I would say at this point Delta is very close to being in the position to announce a base and not loosing to many pilots in their southern feed system. It makes sense that they have held off and are in no rush to announce it, if that is the plane

I'm assuming you're referring to EV Pilots in Atlanta? They seem to be jumping ship already, and a big flood of them leaving for 9E would actually be hurting DCI lift in ATL. Then again you could almost make the same argument for G7 in RDU, which is GoJet's largest base, where they fly exclusively for Delta. Interesting take.

Who knows though, the regional industry is so volatile that even if that's the plan now six months from now it could all be different.

Well I think the 14 planes, "new southern base", and cl-65 all add up to a bunch of EV pilots jumping ship to here mot hurting DCI lift much. While SW keeps telling EV that everything is fine, it can be easily seen by the amount of shrinkage that SW doesn't want them anymore. Looks to me like the final plan has been figured out. We take some 200's, my guess is sky west will run the 700/900's and we will both slowly pick up the flying as pilots leave. EV just wilts to nothing. On the G7 side, I find it interesting that training said we have "dusted off" the 700 project and would be a little more than 6 weeks from starting to fly me if needed. I get the feeling G7 is next. If I were an EV pilot or G7 pilot I'd be looking at this company.

So far this is the third time I've heard this 700 rumor in about 4 years. Every time it quietly dies and GoJet lives another day. H$ll, this last time they actually got rewarded because they sucked so bad in New York. Those airplane are pretty ratty. I think it would be a project for a while

You have any evidence of that or is it just useless conjecture? At the end of the day we fly what Daddy D tells us to fly. We have no real control over that. While I would hate to be saddled with G7's old 700's our MX team would bring them up to scratch.
