I was after this post until the aforementioned low moral character accusation was launched.
I guess it was silly to assume one of your own was hurting your negotiation ability. Silly me for trying to give some feedback on it. I certainly don't think it would be welcomed at any mainline carrier should he make it that far.

Some of what you said makes sense, and I for one appreciate it. I can also see his side of the discussion. Both of these lines of thinking have their merits, and for sure should be weighed when making a decision. Seeing different viewpoints on any particular topic is always a good thing.
Maybe we should step back from this particular topic for a bit, let the dust settle. There's more important things to fight over in this industry than us one to another.

I'd much rather hear about your success moving up to DL, and any advice you could offer us at this level on how to attain that goal, if you're of a mind to share.
I'm all for that and will oblige. I don't have all the answers and never presumed that my advice was perfect. We are all professionals but at the same time we have to acknowledge our decisions are always important and have consequences in the grand scheme of things.

Make sure MCC is up to date. They put out an update about a month ago to fix syncing with the new web address for crewtrac. Also make sure you don't have any messages on crewtrac preventing you from logging in.

Always and thanks for asking. I'm all civilian and spent 9 years at a US Air/AA non-WO. Because of my jobs at my 141 university I was able to check a few extra boxes on my app. All my volunteer experience was in high school and college. I also volunteered for a few IT projects to help the pilots at my regional.
What I think what really helped was how quickly I accumulated my TPIC once I upgraded. I think it highlighted my work ethic. I'd update my time on my app after each trip, too. It also didn't hurt that I didn't have any sick calls in the year leading up to my interview.
I had only one recommendation on file when I got the invitation to interview. By the time I interviewed I had 4 total.
In the end I can't point to one thing that got me over the hump. What I can say definitively is that Delta takes a wholistic approach to their hiring so try to be as well-rounded as possible.

I just downloaded it yesterday and ran the update. My messages are clear. It downloads the schedule and flights but doesn't use our aircraft I've set up, with correct FIN and Registration numbers. Instead, it uses MCC-CPJ as the registration number and CPJ as the type. I also get the messages about not having another crew members name.

Yea, it sucks. It's not the sync feature we hoped for but I'm happy it populates all of the stuff that's a pain to copy over. I'm actually working with zululog.com to see if they will implement a sync feature like MCC but with improved form filling. Every time I have sent suggestions to MCC on how to improve sync and form fill they brush me off.
I have heard that Logbook Pro from NC Software does import your schedule and times but I don't know how effective it is for CrewTrac. That may be another option to look at if you are unhappy with MCC.

Unfortunately that is what it will do every time. I have talked at length with their support and the data it currently syncs is what they are able to pull out of the system. You will have to manually enter the tail number, or fin if you so choose, and the PIC/SIC for every flight.
