Thanks for the reply. How does changing equipment down the road go? Say I took the 200 for the first year to year and a half then decided to switch over to the 900?

There are no seatlocks currently meaning you could swap if you wanted to.

I agree that the 200 would most likely lead to more movement but this has not happened as of yet. Pure speculation at this point.

Kind of accurate...there is no lock going from the 200 to the 900 if someone wished to do that. But, if for any reason, someone wants to go to a lower paying position a la 900 to 200 then there is a aircraft lock for something like one or two years. The aircraft lock would not prevent someone from upgrading though. I only know this because I know someone who started on the 900 then bid the 200 to get to a DTW base but now that this persons seniority could hold the 900 they cannot go over since they are locked on the 200.

Is MSP in the -900 being awarded to new hires or is the -200 still your best bet for getting MSP out of training? I'm going to class next month and would appreciate any inside baseball.

MSP -200 would be granted immediately in all probability.

Durring my interview a few weeks ago they said at the time -900 MSP is the only combo new hires were not able to pick up right away.

Don't pay attention to him. He's been talking smack about Endeavor for a while now. Not sure what his issues are. It's just another good example of the lack of solidarity in aviation when you resort to wishing bad on other pilot groups
