This all sounds great, but as an 8 year FO I'm still on reserve and not a dime of extra cash has made it to my pocket (it will eventually). The company didn't do anything extra for me when I needed time off for a family member having open heart surgery because they can't (staffing) but I expect I'll hear the same line again this year during recurrent about how they'll help us out. They did whats required by law, nothing more. Thats fine, just stop with the line of BS about how altruistic endeavor is. I've worked at three different regionals over the past 11 years. Endeavor is nothing special.

I"m far from bitter and have have left that negativity in the cockpit where I found it in the legacy Pinnacle cockpit.. I'm a captain at my current airline making more than the lame and short term bonus you guys are getting in the next few years. I'd still be an 8 year FO there so the fact that people are crazy enough to consider 9E as a newbie makes me want to help them avoid it at all costs. I can say how bad a place is (I still have several friends there who tell me how is) and not be bitter about it. Facts are Facts...all emotion aside.

I have never had any trouble with Mesaba/Pinnacle/ Endeavor when I needed time off for family. But I did do FMLA when my dad was ill. Lost some money, but I have no regrets.

Yep, UNUM denied it.

During my initial conversation with the CP office they said theyd give me a leave of absence if UNUM denied FMLA. They later said no.

Furthermore, management tells you what you want to hear, this is an airline for God sakes. You have to watch their actions.
Au contraire- every last thing RA said in that meeting (including things we didn't want to hear, such as the parking of the 744s staying on schedule) has come to fruition (757s, 717s, Shanghai, and other stuff that hasn't been announced yet). Why would he gloss over this one while being frank with us on everything else?

Because you don't understand Mesabah is a CEO and knows more then all of us. DCI makes all the money and mainline just barely squeaks by. He posts on the interal message board and has it all figured out. We will be lucky to know as much as him. Scope is limited to 125 50 seaters but that doesn't mean anything to him.

As far as your friends are concerned: birds of a feather tend to flock together. You should stop while you're ahead or slightly behind, as you have no idea of the current state of Endeavor

They bought 2 sims, so that's three sims for 17 airplanes, yeah okay. You know these boards are for entertainment right, don't get rapped up in what is said. I don't know anything other than watching the actions of people, and figuring out what's up. It has served me very well in the past.
