That is exactly what would happen. They would probably be granted some level of preference in getting and passing future interviews. A few could be taken immediately, and the rest can apply in a few years if they stick to it in the industry and stay persistant.
EtD is an honor system gentleman's agreement, and to a certain extent I think it will be honored. But adding all PCL pilots to the DL list if they are shut down…no way in heck. Not even close.

If every pilot here had gone through the Delta interview process, they would not have ended the flow. This is a control issue for Delta management. The EtD pilots were given the Delta blessing, Delta had the "Control" of those pilots.

If a pilot is "mainline competitive," why not just interview at Delta instead of EtD?

Yes, no interview if you have met all of the conditions, including the condition that requires you to be a captain for 2 yrs. They could easily argue this in court that you did not meet ALL of the requirements, its in writing. Can't argue with that.

The future of Endeavor is likely this:
Management continues to try and hire pilots until the rate reset. After the rate reset, we will have 4 years left on the Bridge Agreement. 9E stops hiring, Delta then lets attrition whittle 9E down to nothing over those next 4 years. At the end, Delta announces shutdown, with any remaining SSPs getting their interview, and the EtD's, if any are still here, get taken with the successful SSPs. 6 months after the BA ends, Delta closes the doors here.
