Quitting without 14 days notice is a PRIA reportable event. This isn't however the first time people have done this, people do what they need to do, we do live in a free country. Don't be so quick to judge, especially if you have never worked for a regional and have no idea of the circumstances of this individual.

I got the call from United today. The only problem is they have a class starting on Monday and they want to know if I could be there because they had someone last minute cancel due to a family emergency. I had to tell them no because I don't want to end up on the PRIA list. I'm already on the no-fly list and I don't want to be on both of them because I heard you have to scrub toilets for 6 months as reparations. I guess this class will just have to go on minus one person.

Anyone who says they will show for an interview and doesn't cancel is rude. Not as bad as a guy who breaks a contract and then tries to avoid paying the penalty, but the same ilk.
I am not, and never will be "Delta material", but I am respectful and courteous. If one is not going to show for an interview, be respectful and let the company know.... regardless of whether you will end up on a black list.
My feelings for Delta and its aura are well known, but I would never no show without a legitimate reason. As much as I dislike Delta, I would not fault them for black listing a no show.
For pete's sake, who likes to be stood up on a date?
