I am scheduled for the April 7th training class. Any advice or recommendation.
I have another offer from Expressjet also. It seems that no one on these forums are happy with any of the regionals.

What kind of advice are you looking for? Roll the dice, maybe you will get lucky maybe you won't.

As long as you are going to a regional with no upgrade in sight you might as well go to horizon or somewhere you can hope to make a paycheck, I would definitely go to Expressjet before Endeavor. I guess its rolling the dice either way but rolling on Endeavor in hopes of something big to change takes some monster sized balls.

People are happiest living in base with quick upgrades lots of movement and solid career progression. Unfortunately you only have control of one of those factors and even then bases can change.

Aside from that I can't help you with your decision. Expressjet does pay more and I'd be surprised if they voted in concessions. IMHO they have similar exposure to parking 50 seat aircraft so its tough to say.

I've become too cynical to believe the hopes of others that 9E would be stapled or flow to DL but you never know. I think they would have kept some 200s around but they can't staff them. I'm surprised they haven't said or done more to get new hires in the door.

Live in base if you can... keep networking to move up/out... and ask the magic 8 ball the rest.

Good luck! You can PM me RE: training.

I honestly don't think you'll get any good advice from anyone on these forums. The last few years have been extremely trying for regional pilots, but we're finally starting to see things turn around. I don't think Endeavor will be a bad place to be. Is it the best? I don't necessarily think so, but it is all personal choice. I've been with Endeavor for 7 years. If you'd like to PM me some questions I will try to be as unbiased as I can. Only you can make the decision of where is the right place to be, but I can give the run down on 9E.

Endeavor is no paradise but neither is express jet, envoy, skypest, compass, psa.. you get my point. However, Endeavor has guaranteed attrition from the top with the Delta SSP and it has already starting to really take affect, and with the latest announcement from Delta to increase hiring to 50/month we will see Endeavors attrition numbers hit an all time high, which will be good for all the jr guys.

Firstly, Congratulations! You should be happy. Go into the class with the same motivation that got you the job in the first place. Develop your own opinion and do not let others skew your impressions one way or another. Good luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the guaranteed attrition will be from the Mesaba flows and the SSP does not guarantee a job. The SSP is there just for the interview and then it is up to Delta to make the choice whether to hire or not.

I would think with Delta ramping up their hiring, Compass would be the best bet as far as possibility of upgrading. Then again what looks good today might not tomorrow. Hopefully things will change around for the better in this industry.

Default Endeavor (9E) interviews and offers?

The SSP guarantees an interview, but someone correct me if I'm wrong...9E is guarantee 30% of the class slots at Delta. So there will be movement...not like Compass that will have movement but will stop once the flows are complete. So...

Compass = movement with upgrade with guaranteed interview with Delta.
Endeavor = movement with upgrade with guaranteed interview with Delta with insurance of 30% of the class seats.

From the outside looking in, seems like 9E has a better chance of getting on with Delta than any other regional. Plus in the end 9E will still have more airframes than Compass so more opportunity. You can go to Compass and get stuck because senior Captains aren't going anywhere. You have to weigh your own options...
