Also, while we are talking about it, there are many things that could/can happy to us. It is very easy to think and assume the worst with this company. However, none of us know what will happen. One thing is for sure, if we keep losing pilots they will have to make some drastic changes to stop the bleeding and/or get people to come here. As bad as this place is I don't think we will be shut down any time soon. They will most likely park more 200's as we lose more people but at some point it's going to create more and more problems. The next year or two with the regionals is going to be very interesting.
A prediction I heard the other day that could create a lot of problems for us and they'll have to address it sooner rather than later is this:
If eagle votes in this TA, pilots will jump ship and run over there.
Guaranteed movement and flow(even if it takes 20 years)
Signing bonus (haven't verified this but heard 20k, 10 first year and 10 the second)
The company and delta better have a plan because we're about to hit v1

I see how it was confusing but if eagle signs this: eagle will have new airplanes, flow and signing bonus for new hires. Pilots will chase airplanes and movement and this will be a disaster for 9E. Look at the guys that jumped to compass, this will be worse.

Why do you think the company put out the bribe money that cost them 2/3rd of what was given up first year and saved them many times over beyond? They bought that 85% for less than 1/15th of what we gave up in pay alone.

I'm well aware of that fact. What most people on the outside don't realize is that Pinnacle was a terrible place to work, and the bankruptcy made it even worse. With no up-grade in sight a lot of FO's were making lateral moves. Most of them just voted for the money, nothing else

In the past 3-5 years what regional was upgrading. You guys make it seem like 9E was the only dead airline.
What airlines are upgrading TODAY?!?!
Crap!!! It's bad everywhere!!! Real talk...
Most people voted this POS contract just to survive another day...now that's the truth.

do you really think that a company that's making 2.7 billion dollars spent 150 million on endeavor to just shut them down? Yes the fleet plan is 81 airplanes but that may be all we need. There are at least 120 captains leaving endeavor this year, that's the smallest number. Next year there will be at least 160 leaving. That's almost 300 right there by the end of 2015. Add another 160 in 2016, 2017 and even more after that as our quota increases after 2017. Is it going to be lightning fast? No but keep in mind that we are keeping most 200's until the end of 2015 and accepting 20 more 900s so that will require more captains initially. You guys are basing all your predictions on past results, which doesn't always lead to future results. hiring is an issue right now for sure, but if they want people to come they will find a way to do it, if not, they will continue to shrink us to where they want us but that doesn't mean all doom and gloom. if people have other opportunities they should always take them but leaving for another regional right now would not be a good idea in my opinion.
And my decision to leave 9E six months ago to go to another regional with massive growth was the best career decision I have ever made. I was a 6 year FO at 9E (no upgrade in sight and never had the opportunity to upgrade) and some of my buddies that left to do the same thing all say the same thing...best career move (aside from getting picked from a major) they could have made.
