Something for new hires to consider. If you come to Endeavor now and upgrade in 18 months that's and 18 month upgrade if a current 6 yr FO does the same it was 7 years and 6 months. This creates understandable frustration from current pilots. This should however not dissuade you from coming to Endeavor senior pilots are leaving and this is causing movement. The pace at which we are parking aircraft is slow enough that attrition is beating it. Coming to Endeavor is not a bad choice especially if the bases are near your home.

Apparently English is not a required language there.

It is a bad choice. It might be the worst choice. Great lakes had issues getting pilots into class and they didn't budge when it came to anything to attract anyone new. The difference in this situation though is that the endeavor fleet plan is already smaller than whats on hand. There's not even pressure on them to fill classes. They can just accelerate parking 200's to match the staffing and they will... Just my prediction but if I was management at DL that's what makes sense to me versus handing out more money. Endeavor could possibly be the worst choice any new hire could make right now, career stagnation in a time when everyone else will progress.

You are actually right, but not many people will be able to see it that way. between now and the end of 2014 the minimum amount of captains we will lose is 150 if delta hires 550. That is 50 flows and at least 100 ssp. Yes the ssp pass rate is low but 130 is 1/3 after compass and mesaba flows so those spots have to get filed. If delta only hires 300 this number will be lower but by all indications delta will hire more than 300 and 600 next year so once again in 2015 and 2016 the minimum amount of captains that will leave endeavor will be 160 so that is attrition of at least 450 captains by the end of 2016. This does not count anyone leaving for united us air American or wherever else they go. Everything in this industry is a risk, but the only math people do are the planes leaving, not the pilots leaving. Nothing has actually happened yet which is why everyone is complaining and saying stay away. It is just starting this month and it will never stop.
