Making decisions solely based on looking at the past might not be very wise. What is likely is that Endeavor will end up with a significant portion of the Delta regional feed. As a new hire this means there will be seats to fill and I think in 2014 you will see the movement off the top translate into upgrades for current FO's and this movement will make for an improving situation for new hires. This of course is speculation and maybe its too positive. I offer this point of view as a counterpoint to some overly negative and exaggerated points of views that you get from people with an agenda. They harbor ill will to Endeavor since they feel personally wrong they think by scaring away prospective new hires this will force Endeavor to close their doors and this will be a win for them.
I did make one mistake I said currently. I should have said when the list came out. Your right i exaggerated with 1000. Look at the seniority list we have on 9/23/11 I am exactly 900 below a pilot from colgan with a hire date of 14 days after me. So your right it is not that bad. I was not ripping on colgan pilots. I have no ill will towards them. I was stating how we dont know what will happen. If you would like I can tell you my name and their name to prove the numbers.

An overly-positive post based on conjecture is just as dumb, useless and subjective as a post written out of hate.

Some of us have no hate towards a company that allowed us to feed our families for a few years, some of us just want to throw in our 50 cents and inform people (possible new hires) of current situation and what the current official forecast is.

It's not about making decisions based on the past, it's about doing your due diligence and research current state and official future plans for the airline. After that you can pull your "things always change in this industry" and decide how much specific value you are willing to give to that statement, then decide if really 9E is the best option available right now.

Your whole theory above in your post goes to hell when you include in the analysis that 9E is officially bound to shrink down its fleet massively, which by the way is an official fleet plan reduction announced by Delta and 9Es management. People leaving from the top of the list means squat for new hires when at the same time you are losing airplanes.

When/if they cancel the airplane reduction, then the positive things could come. Until then it's just a dark outlook for new hires at 9E, regardless of any "glass half full" motivational analysis you can come up with.

So according to the latest ALPA email, it looks like the company wants to open negotiations on co-domicile language for JFK/LGA. Might we have an opportunity here to restore some of our pay??? Thoughts...

No, CrakPipe, we just needed that many hours to be competitive.

FYI. I didn't like your comment. That's why I said that.

Put down the crack pipe and pay attention to what the facts are. You are a perfect example of some, a minority I would say, of the 9E pilots who live in a blissful world of denial. There is a reason a vast majority of the pilots are very unhappy with the airline, moral is super low, it's a toxic place to work, everyone is negative and unhappy, pay sucks, the bankruptcy concessionary contract sucks, people still complain about their seniority problems with the new ISL, and FOs are leaving like there is no tomorrow. It's important to note that the company can't keep FOs on property. It's because there is no future there... it's poised to shrink with the current business plan.
And the fact that they're leaving to other regionals is disturbing. Making a lateral or backwards move just to get out of the airline speaks for itself. I will never defend 9E and if I were looking at joining a specific airline I would hope someone who was in the current airline or who had just left for specific reasons would warn me of the current situation.

Hoping for it, but no. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if our "union" gives it out to the company for free just as a gesture of good faith, show them that the pilot group is willing to play ball, right? ::rolls eyes::

They will probably give it to them for the privilege to be forced to wear the hat.
