Not at all offended. But I don't think the same can be said for you. Lets be honest, what I wrote was true as Avroman pointed out. Surely others are thinking it. But instead of responding with facts or substance, you make a gay joke about being shot down by a flight attendant an then a religious slur. In other words, no substance and just personal attacks. Anytime someone here has to resort to insults/slurs/bad jokes it just goes to show they have no valid argument and are responding overly emotionally in a bad way. I never questioned the livelihood of 4000 employees. Most are trying to make the best of a bad situation. Anyone seriously considering 9E as newhire FO seriously needs to reevaluate what they are looking for in a regional. Compass is a far better option with guaranteed CAs flowing to Delta. Again, just from a factual standpoint. 9E has some CAs leaving to Delta, but the bottom of a 2100 pilot list with the current fleet end plan of 81 planes means there are better opportunities elsewhere. Dare I say, Mesa has RJs for AA coming online soon and will create lots of movement hiring/upgrading.

Republic and GoJets? What's up with them? As far as I know Republic gained all the Q flying from Colgan and their most junior CAs are approaching 2008 DOH. GoJets had fast movement for quite a while when they grew and now have slowed down. Most junior CA is still a 2012 DOH. They're still better options than 9E. I agree 100% that the majors want cheap contract feed and they will get it.

Wow since it's 3 pages of current or ex 9E guys fighting about who knows what I'm gonna guess no one has any plans of coming here.
Shy guy you gotta let it go man... Remember Pinnacle is the reason why your at Virgin. Hate them all you want but they did give you what you needed to move on, isn't that the reason why most of us go to regionals?

Did a flight attendant of the male variety spurn your advances while you were at 9E? You really seem to have an unhealthy vendetta. Remember that this airline you talk so much worthless garbage on is responsible for the livelihood of 4,000+ employees and their families.
I forgot that you fly an Airbus for a company with the worst financial performance in its segment of the industry. Did they include a taqiyah with your new Banana Republic designed uniform? Please wear that the next time your hang around elevators to 9E crew rooms, I'm sure you look like quite the fool wearing it.

Well, thats my point, its not about reading the writing on the wall, its about reading the writing on the paper, written by Delta's own pen and passed on the 9E management. Nobody is guessing anything, its official, and has been communicated to 9E's management. It doesnt get any more official than that. As far as changes down the road regarding the fleet change, well, guess away.
As far as other regionals losing planes too, Id agree. Id stay away from any regionals that have a ton of 50 seaters, just MHO.
"As it currently stands". Well, Im a fan of looking at all the facts before I make a decision... yes, nothing is ever written in stone in this industry, but some are much better indicators of things to come than others, an official fleet plan designed and passed on to 9E by mainline? Yeah, I'll give that good solid specific weight compared to other indicators.
"As it currently stands" provides a basis of current situation, and in this case it projects a possible negative outcome. Yes, other regional's contracts will come up in 2015, that could mean bad news, but as of now there is no definite plan or schedule for each of them, next thing you know, you're back at "guessing" again.
Writing has been on the wall for the last couple of years. Now its on paper, both in the shape of a fleet reduction plan and a concessionary POS contract that 85% of the pilot group was willing to take. Most of FOs (myself included) have raised the anchor and looked elsewhere for employment. Nothing here at 9E for the bottom 2/3 of the FO list, IMHO. Dont even mention the new hires...

If you have something in your past that would preclude you from working at any other regional then you should apply to Endeavor. If you are a qualified drop out, have a DUI or several failures, this may be the spot for you. The place serves a purpose and there are some desperate folks out there looking at it right now.
