New hires will now go the 200 (MSP/DTW.) But JFK/LGA go junior, always have. I don't think it will take long to get your base of choice, especially with the hiring that is happening. There will be realignments of staffing numerous times throughout the year, not only at Endeavor, but I'm sure all airlines as their staffing will change so much. So those are your chances to bid and likely get the base of choice. I hope that is neither too drab nor too koolaid-y. I think that is just the way it is.

What is the fleet plan besides the 81 -900s? Newhires going -200 it seems.

Classes are full since the bonus was announced. Almost 100 hired so far this year. New hires have been split 200/900. Lots of rumors surrounding the number of 200's some say 60 some say 40. Some say that the 200's are coming back out of the sand box. The company says that we get as many as we can fly. With the amount of new hires that we are getting and the guaranteed movement to delta the upgrade time is going to drop fast. I hope that the good news keeps coming.

It is a Letter of agreement signed (so therefore a part of our pilot contract.) There is no commitment required.....but basically you get it 3 times a year so basically you will only get what you stay for.
And unfortunately I disagree with the MSP out of training idea. I think it is possible to hold MSP in time, but it is definitely not down to the out of training realm. There may be a time when this is the case though in the future....but right now it is not.

Now I wonder what the makeup of the class is: prior 121/135, CFI/other guys new to jets.

It'll be some sort of guaranteed interview/job selection at Delta. Endeavor management and Delta have been working on it ever since the ETD was shut down. I'm sure it's going to look very similar to the current SSP, however, they can't just offer SSP to new hires right away, they need some sort of training agreement along with a timeline commitment.

Keep in mind gents, it has been made very abundantly clear by flight ops that the final 50 seater count in the DCI fleet will be 100. Who operates them and how many? We'll see.
Any jets that come out of the desert will be replacing older 50 seaters.
More 717s on top of the 88 from WN are on their way to DL, and narrowbody orders/purchases are being picked up to accelerate mitigating the implosion of DCI that is occurring now. More and more hours are being kicked back from DCI to mainline each month.
This is fantastic news for those wanting to move up, as more and more mainline level jobs are being created along with accelerating retirements. Hanging your hat on repeating the glory days of the regionals will not be occurring (which is a VERY good thing).
I would not be surprised if some sort of guaranteed interview program is extended to newhires at 9E.
