If hotel drivers are paid less than minimum wage it is not the responsibility of the hotel customer to subsidize this. If people stop taking those jobs they will raise the compensation. Tipping in this country is out of control. Tipping is a gesture of appreciation for service above and beyond the ordinary. There should not be a system in place where a minimum tip is expected.

I do tip on the average of 6 bucks a week. Times that by 48, that's 288.00 a year I could put in my kids college fund. But after a long hot day and the van is waiting for you with the air conditioning on, the buck tip seems rather small.

When you're a regional FO $288 is almost a week's pay. I understand your perspective but it's their job to be there with the AC or heat running. If they're not there right away do you not tip?

I don't confirm or deny online identities. But that story is entirely made-up, or you have me confused with someone else. I still can't imagine anyone doing flaps 0 landing just for the heck of it. Abnormal/flap fail scenario only. Not really upset, but this is the second accusation (first one being I hate and/or don't support troops?!). I mean where do people come up with this stuff.
You should really drop the SLI hate though. We don't need that crap here anymore.
