Remember in the years prior to the merger, there was a grievance filed on behalf of the Pinnacle pilots over the purchase and expansion of Colgan. A grievance that Pinnacle won, yet as soon as Colgan became ALPA, it died quickly. For all intents and purposes, Colgan going to ALPA saved all their jobs at this point, as the merger would have gone much differently had that not happened. A glaring example of the conflict of interest in ALPA.

I know it's an epidemic around here, only follow the FOM if it suits the crew, or not even reading updates. I just flew with a guy who had no idea of a CFM change over a year later!!

I think performing a flaps 0 landing on the line as an FO is a pretty big no-no. But at least 50% of the blame goes to your CA for not upholding the FOM.

I say again, I have NEVER landed a CRJ at flaps 0!
All my landings were flaps full. The only one exception was coming into MSP and at flaps 20/180 kts. I asked for flaps 30 and flaps fail caution came up. We did our procedures, and the CA said that you're doing fine, so take the landing. And I did, with flaps failed at 20. This was an abnormal situation, and the only time I ever did a landing myself that wasn't flaps 45.
I have ALWAYS landed flaps full, with the exception of flaps failed above

How is this a conflict of interest? 9E ALPA helped organize the 9L ALPA drive/vote. They wanted us to vote in ALPA. I remember sitting in IAD early 08 and the 9E guys preaching to us about ALPA and to vote it in (ironically Wychor was there as well). If it was a conflict of interest whey did 9E ALPA support it?

No I didn't see how many people got their jobs back during the SLI. Were they fired and then had an arbitrator rule that they were to be given their jobs back? Because the ALPA Merger Committees can't just put people on the seniority list that have been fired.
