Pinnacle=Endeavor Air

Shy- you offer nothing meaningful to the conversation. You are an idiot if you think that Colgan pilots deserved nothing because someone crashed an airplane.
I would argue after 3701 no Pinnacle Pilot had any career expecations either. No airframes had been added since that accident. Seriously what kind of an argument is that?

Pinnacle continued to take deliveries of CRJ200s for over a year after the 3701 accident.
They got the contract to fly CRJ900s about a year and a half after the CRJ200 deliveries were completed.

ALPA doesn't protect incompetent pilots, it protects pilots from incompetent management who can't follow a process.

That was long before it was Pinnacle. Was that Express I? I assume so. 1991 was a long time ago. How big was Express I back then? What kind of operations was it doing?
Sounds eerily like Colgan 3407. And both CA's names were Marvin. What are the chances. Incompetent pilots should be weeded out, instead, ALPA protects them.

And what's this about "protecting pilots"? And not ratting them out? I'm pretty sure you used to brag on airlink about being allowed to do certain things when you were an FO, that most of the rest of us would just look at our FOM and think, well, says I can't do it. I'm totally the pot here, but you are no angel when it comes to doing things that might have needed ALPA protection.

Shy's point isn't that good, however some history of your merger partner needs to be corrected:

Shy- btw Monteleon was a trouble maker at the FAA who was suspended and possibly fired for some of the things he was doing or not doing in his job. I believe some of the things he said, but to give him an open mic would be foolish. Just as most of your arguments go over people's heads because your reputation.
Monteleon isn't as clean as you think.
And B Coates is a liar. It was one pilots word against another. A loser vs. one of the most competent, smartest, best pilots I have ever flown with.

did you see how many people got their jobs back because of ALPA during the SLI? Some of those guys have ZERO business being in an airplane or just being an employee anywhere.
