Training Dept and HQ jobs
BLUF: Interested to get an idea of what opportunities, if any, are available to Endeavor pilots in either training department roles, CPO, HQ, etc. in ATL that would allow a pilot to work mostly excusively in ATL (kind of mostly an office job)....while still retaining the ability to fly the line.
Background: My Dad flew for Delta and explained to me how SLIs there had a great gig if they lived in ATL and enjoyed instructing. Anyway, my wife is a regional airline pilot and I'm military (with eyes set on commerical aviation) and with kids eventually in the picture, I am interested to know what roles may be possible that would allow me to have most nights at home and not be gone for days at a time, while still allowing me the ability to fly the line when our kids are older and life situation is ready for both parents to be flying.
And I get it... seniority is king, reserve in base, day turn schedules are all options...but just curious about some of the more niche roles that are "office work" specific for pilots. And if they do exist and you either have first-hand knowledge or have heard goods/bads/others, I'd be grateful for any info have on the jobs, hours, pay, etc. Thanks!
Edit: After a quick google review, I now see Endeavor HQ and training is in Minneapolis. So I feel dumb...
I guess if there are any CPO roles, duty pilot jobs, office work in ATL for pilots...I would still be interested!

The majority of what I've see as of late for postings open to pilots, either off the street or already in company have been LCPs/Seniority list instructors out of MSP (but im sure you could be based elsewhere). Only CPO jobs I've seen are out of NY and the duty pilot work is also entirely out of the OCC in MSP. They do provide good positive space and some solid guarenteed days off for seniority list instructors, and those I've talked to haven't hated the commute / extra pay - some even commuting from ATL.
Aside from that, other "office jobs" are also mostly out of MSP. You might get lucky but I think all of our union jobs (safety, gatekeepers, etc.) are also here in MSP when they work.
