Was this a contractual flow like what's in place now? I don't know the history of what you are talking about, but it sounds like the flow now would be hard to change the parameters of who gets taken. Come 2029 when the contract is up for negotiation, they definitely could change the CAP requirements. Judging by your comments, you had a chance to flow in the initial group or second group and turned it down. You can't blame anybody for not taking that opportunity. I get the flow wasn't perfect for everyone. Stop crapping on it lol.
when we get stapled with 1:1 seniority you will be the one laughing at the top of the DL seniority list😂

It was a contractual flow that Mesaba had with Northwest but you had to have a college degree which im guessing he didnt have. Then when NW/DL merged DL sold the carriers that had a flow to get away from them. He had another chance when this flow came about but he is an EDV lifer so he chose to bypass. Funny thing is he'd currently be a DTW 737/320 CA had he flowed in this agreement. He didnt want to take the 1 year "pay cut" is my guess.

They said the Cubs would never win the World Series and the Eagles said in the late 70's hell would freeze over before they would ever get back together😂

It was other way around . Northwest did not require any degree from OTS , Compass or Mesaba during the Years Northwest existed or during the flow . After the merger DL stiffed everyone over by demanding bachelor degree for remaining flow pilots . They would not grandfather anyone in 💀. They also would not hold a spot in the flow if one could try to knock out a 4 year online which one could do rather quickly if a person at least had an associate . This was the same MGT/DL ALPA that screwed everyone over by obliterating Comair at the time so one wouldn't be surprised at their indifference. ...Also flowing with 30 to 35 years of service at age 58 and higher is not a "1 year" pay cut . Try about 3 to 5 year plus losing all other longevity and benefits.

The first flow group could have upgraded while on probation to the 320 or 737. $300+ hr is not a cut. Not sure what benefits they lose, they jump every contract carrier employee as an S3 or S2, and gain a 17% DC plus MBCBP if opted in... Good old TW retired off a 767.
