The hardest part about being in propel is going to be trying to avoid telling them you’re in propel without lying. Delta needs to do something about this with 9E (and ideally OO, RAH)

it’s complicated but basically boils down to, propel guys will leave earlier than Joe off the street. They’ll get less for their money.

I reached out to the Propel team explaining the issues and conflict of interest going to the regionals. They expect us to get to a regional to start our countdown to get to Delta, yet, no one is interested in us unless we sign a 4-5 year contract. SkyWest will reject your application the second they send the survey asking if you are in Propel. Endeavor rejected my application just like many others, but being in Propel likely did not help my case. I also applied to the wheels up through Propel but they suspended hiring shortly after. They basically told me good luck and that they allow Propel pilots to fly for any 121 carrier now. I've had my applications out to every single 121 carrier for over 6 months. They need to let us go to a 135 operation or something to allow us to progress as pilots. I am being pulled one way by Propel to go to the airlines, but being shoved away by the regionals because I'm a terrible investment. I have no idea what to do. Propel told me in the email that they've been seeing Propel CFI's signing the Republic contract.

In case you don't know, the Endeavor CEO oversaw the creation of Propel while SVP Flight Ops at Delta. In this case, unfortunately, it's the tail wagging the dog. Couple that with the fact that another former SVP FOP (who was a major supporter of Propel) is gone and we have new leadership, I'm hearing Propel is about to get a makeover.

I couldn't agree more. I've been at minimums as a propel CFI and have only heard back from Republic and Envoy. Republic gave me the CJO since being in Propel doesn't affect them at all. Envoy reached out just before announcing the ATP/CTP requirement, so now I'm working on self funding to knock that out of the way. By the time I get my ATP written complete, it's going to be months before I even get a chance to interview there with the current scheduling timeframes.

Kind of funny this was mentioned because Propel just sent an email out today with a big change. As of today, if you do not hold a CJO AND a confirmed class date, you must go to endeavor immidiately. They will work on getting us a class date if we are at minimums apparently. We now have to fly as a captain for 24 months at Endeavor to flow to Delta instead of our previously agreed 42 month term. This really blind sided us CFI's sitting at mins waiting for a class date.
