I agree with you about having some great people. However, we don't have a monopoly on that. Like I mentioned in the other thread, new hires do not have flow. They have the DGI, and now a lot less pay.

…seniority number at DL solves the attrition.

this is true. But there are good people everywhere. Plus that stuff doesn’t pay the bills. Money does. And with inflation at an all time high, money is what people want.

New hires don't exactly have the DGI. If they really require every single flow eligible pilot to go before anyone gets a DGI, then it's pretty much worthless. Pressure's definitely on now.

QOL is terrible here unless you’re senior on the 900

I'm not super senior, but life in DTW is not bad, even for a commuter like me...

Im assuming you’re on the 900 though if you are touting the “amazing QOL” Endeavor has. I used to say the same thing before I flew the 200.

DTW sucks as a commuter. Every month more trips start at 630a. It’s ridiculous. Just look at the open time pot. Nearly every trip starts before 7a. This wasn’t the case until a few months ago. We have lost over 100 pilots in the past 3 months, and every month my schedule gets less commutable. Should be getting better, not worse.

You may be right for 9E attrition, but it creates another issue at mainline. If you hold a CJO to both UA/DL and all 9E pilots already held a seniority number ahead of you as a fresh street hire, that would make you the plug or close to it for what 5+ years? Nobody would apply to Delta or accept a street hire CJO. The biggest problem for DL would be the total loss of their bread and butter hires (Military).

Hell I’d go to Sunny before DL in that case as a street hire applicant. And oh btw is that still going to stop attrition completely at 9E? NO.
