Default Got an email now what?

Hi all,

I recently applied to Endeavor via their website. After 3 days I got an email back from the pilot selection team saying this words...

“Our airline has been fortunate to have had a high volume of quality pilot candidates. As a result, we have been able to extend enough offers to pilot candidates to fill our new hire classes through late 2019.

We will retain your impressive application for future openings and will be in touch when we are able to move your application on to the next stage of the selection process. Your experience and skills very much align with our selection criteria. Additionally, we will provide you with periodic email updates as we determine our pilot hiring requirements for late 2019.”

I’ve not met ATP minimums yet, I’m like 4-6 months away... Does this means I’m done and will never get a call for an interview or is there hope?

Your fine, and it sounds like your in the pile of applications EDV would like to interview. It just Happens that EDV isn’t doing pilot interviews at the moment because all their current openings are filled.

You’re in a great spot. Our leaders have talked about second half 2019 growth, so your 4-6 month timeframe should line up nicely. Be patient, focus on your training, and have fun. Your 121 career will start soon enough!

Thank you for the reply! So I should continue to update the application in a month to month basis as my TT builds up.

Be patient, stay focused, and remain the course. You’ll get the invite for an interview when you least expect it.

I’d say you should update as soon as you hear any word of people getting interviews on here. I’m pretty sure additional hiring has been completely cut off sans students already enrolled in the STEP program, so it’s not like the additional hours will make you more competitive (it’s not you, it’s them...). Wouldn’t hurt To update sooner (shows Endeavor is the place you want to be) but once the gates open again is the time to refocus.

Nice I will, I'm enjoying my time building in the EMB-120, it is a fun airplane to fly, but at the same time I want to experience the 121 world.

Sounds like a plan, thank you!

If you get your time and others are hiring and we aren't, don't be afraid to consider them rather than waiting around. Sometimes the best contract that has little movement/growth in the regional world isn't the best place long term career wise. Many of my friends that went to the then "bottom feeders" of Mesa, Chautauqua, Commutair, Colgan ended up at majors far faster than those of us that went to the then "best regionals" at Comair, Continental Express (now ExpressJet) ASA, (same) and Mesaba. The better pay and benefits meant many more lifers and much slower upgrades then much bigger targets for bankruptcy era concessions. Hopefully everything about that era is in the past forever but we are already seeing several troubling signs in the economy, and who knows what that's going to mean for everyone.
