Dropping Reserve Days
Tried to drop a reserve day in October as soon as the window opened yesterday. Today I see that it was denied due "at or below RSV coverage" for the day. Yet when I look at the reserve grid in flica it shows one more "available Reserve" than "min required". For those that have had success in dropping a reserve day, what does it take?

Reserve Grid doesn't show Green, but instead is Black due to a single open duty period (I guess it makes Net Reserve and Min Required equal). Does that make a difference?

Each of the days you submit for must all be green. If only one is green only submit to drop that one day. Then as they go green submit additional requests to drop those days that are green

it isn't easy to get a reserve day dropped. the past 2 months i've done reserve I was able to only drop 1 day per month. This month I believe I have attempted to drop a day maybe 7 or 8 times with only 1 success. The issue is that when a day becomes green people see an opportunity to swap a reserve day around to make there schedule better for them. When they swap the day it becomes black and then your SOL on your drop because you were waiting on crew scheduling to award it.

Got lucky and managed to drop a day next month when it went green.
But now a new question. For reserve transparency, can we see more than the reserve grid in Flica? I.e. can we see if anyone is junior to us on reserve that should be getting the ready reserve assignment before us?

And in the crew recource report it lists who has has what block of reserve, thier seniority number, last/first out, volunteer RR, days of reserve left on reserve- it’s a very good resource.

Tried to drop "green" reserve days on Friday for the end of month and got denied for "unable to process requests that touch the last seven days of the month. Please resubmit after the NOV bid has been released." When I called scheduling to get further info on the denial, I got the "crew planning said so" answer. Does anyone know if this is legit?
