Default New hire training quizlet or study guide

In the Oct 2 class here.

Wondering if anyone has made any Quizlet sets to help in the new hire training course? Or is there a study guide available?

Thanks

There's no need to study before class. It might do more damage... study 6 days a week after day 1

Don't study before class. They will provide EVERYTHING you you need to succeed. Just study what they give you, have fun, and welcome aboard you'll enjoy it here.

Careful with the Quizlet stuff. Many of the SOP's here have changed multiple times over the past few years, so if you go memorizing anything specific, you'll likely have to flush it later and re-learn it. I went in all gung ho, and that's exactly what happened to me. At best, you can give everything a once-over look to get a general feel of what's coming ahead.

The stuff on airplane limitations is accurate, since it doesn't change over time... but you don't know if you'll be in the 200 or 900 until a few days after indoc starts. So there's not much you can do.

One thing you can do, is to look at the systems manuals on Smartcockpit.com. They're similar enough across the two planes, for a general feel type overview. Again, nothing very specific. It helped me a lot to have that general background of how the systems work, when I got to actual systems ground school and we got into the nitty gritty details like this bus is powered by that bus under these conditions, etc. And kick them a few bucks via the donation link if you find it helpful.

Plenty of quizlets have been made recently. Just look at the dates. Search 9E ... or Endeavor ... or CRJ 900(200) ...

This seems to be a common sentiment on here. "Have fun, relax, square away your personal life, don't look at anything prior to the schoolhouse."

Although I mostly agree, I do think having your FOM/CFM ahead of time to once over wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Rather than cramming it into your head in one week. Studying quizlets? Useless, for sure. Having some stress free time to read and absorb some info prior? Could be useful.

I'm already typed with plenty of experience in both planes. Being ahead of the game has always served me well, but if the material is not readily available, then so be it.

FOM and OPSPEC studying has always been a booger without clear guidance as to what is expected to be committed to memory. MY present and soon to be ex-employer provides an oral exam guide which is not the industry norm.

Thanks for the info and advice, I was just wondering if anything was out there. Stoked about being back in the schoolhouse!

STOKED!? I hope that's sarcasm. Who wants to go to the schoolhouse?

Is your new hire class still doing indoc homestudy with the EFB? I heard they were getting rid of that for future classes
