All the best.
Aviationinterviews is a must.

I used Everything Explained to help me understand what was listed on the aviationinterviews website. Pay the fee, cancel when you're hired. Well worth it.

Buy the book. Pay no fees. Not worth it. I studied zero "gouge" for any regional interview. Focus on Jepps plates for briefing. Be yourself. Be able to fly a holding pattern and an ILS approach. You will either be a rock star or quickly realize you need another profession.

That being said, I had recently taken my ATP written, so had boned up on that sort of thing.

I think the "gouge" gives you an idea about what is normally asked and the flow of the interview process. Yes, by all means look at the questions being asked but always be prepared for an interview that may not always reflect what someone else just experienced a day or week ago.

Interview preparation takes time. The "Everything Explained" book is full of many tidbits of information and you need time to absorb the material especially if you did not have exposure to it earlier. There are so many good prep books out there, but it's probably best to get one good one and stick with that. Otherwise you can get overwhelmed.

I remember at one brand X, someone in class brought several books on the aircraft from different vendors/airlines. It might have been good reading but not for an initial course, as it created more confusion. The airline instructor told that person that everything you need to pass this course will be provided. No outside material needed.

I'll take a look at the questions to get an idea of how technical they are. But the book, from what I gather, is extremely detailed with a variety of general aviation information. It arrives Monday.

How about the interview preparation courses that are offered. Any reason why I need to invest in that for a regional interview?

Good Lord no. Aviation interviews is pretty spot on. I'd skip the prep course for a regional interview unless you are really really bad at interviews.

You do NOT need interview pre for regional interview. Aviationinterviews.com is enough.

Commute more difficult to ATL or NYC out of TPA? By looking at the flight loads, it seems as if NYC is more difficult. Anyone have any info to offer? Thanks.

Worse comes to worse, you can always drive from TPA to ATL in a day. NYC, not so much.

Do new hires have the ability to just accept LC? Or is LC and SC both requirements for new hires? Either way I'm in. Just curious. Trying to figure out where my family and should live.

Short answer: no.

We don't have long call. It's allegedly being discussed.
