We have quite a few people that live in ATL now and there are places people live that our other bases are a bigger PIA to get to... We have a captain in DTW that commutes 2 legs (through ATL) to DTW.... I'm betting he's looking forward to a 1 leg commute soon.

My guess is on the initial vacancy (17-04) ATL900 will go senior for both CA and FO. On the next one, it'll be fairly junior for FOs and medium seniority for CAs.
I expect a lot of DTW9CA to bid ATL9CA. There are a few JFK and LGA guys I know were holding out for the 900 base down there too. So after they all move, if it doesn't fill up all the slots, it'll be fairly obtainable for Captains I imagine. And ATL2CA will probably get even more junior. In fact I am wondering if it'll go more junior than any NY 900 upgrade.

I'm kind of thinking the same. The senior CA that lives in ATL will no doubtedly want the higher paying 9. I think ATL 200 will start to go very junior because of the commute for everyone else. Plus with the announcement of the 900's growing your going to see a lot of people jump off the 200 for the 900. Who knows for sure though. Time will tell.
