I have no idea who brought up new hires in ATL 900, That can’t happen yet, I would expect it to happen next spring at the earliest ( that’s not directed at You SR).

I was just addressing the idea that people would be getting ATL 200 during indoc in the next month or 2. (Sorry Auburn) There aren’t any more available ATL200 spots.

My guess is the next ATL 900 vacancy will be more senior overall, but some people junior to those already there sneaking in on the bottom. There are a lot of people regretting thier withdrawal from the last vacancy, including a lot of ATL 200 FOs (in the intial I was borderline reserve in ATL9, on the final I would have been top 50% of line holders- some
Altrenates that withdrew would have been lineholder a in the larger aircraft as opposed to being reserve on the smaller plane). If you were too junior to hold ATL 900 this time, your probably looking at 3-6 months of reserve once you get to ATL (but atleast you aren’t the person that bid from the 900 to the 200 to be the plug in ATL200 for the next 2 months- hopefully he lives in Atlanta).

But the general advice Is the same as always, the earlier you get here, the sooner you’ll be someplace you want to be here.

No need to apologize to me. I was just curious. I get it...everything is based on seniority. Still trying to familiarize myself with how business is done.

Always bid what you want and not what you think you might get. Yes seniority does rule (as it should) but if you don't have your bid for equipment, upgrade or base that you desire, if/when the time comes you will miss out.

Why would you not want to upgrade to the ATL 200 club? You're setting your standards pretty low my friend.

It still amazes me the amount of tools that will choose equipment over QOL....

Do you always pass judgement with minimal information? I’m so glad that you know what effects my QOL decisions. You should honestly keep those comments to yourself.

I joined a few months back and I'm currently in NYC 900. I'm eventually trying to get to ATL 900, but I'm sure the reserve time is shorter in NYC than ATL? Was wondering if you had any thoughts on reserve time in NYC vs ATL, and the timeframe to be able to possibly hold a line in ATL. I noticed you said you were borderline reserve, how long have you been here?

Thanks!

In the post you quoted, he said 3-6 months on RSV in ATL.

True. But he only said "too junior". That's pretty vague!

Not vague at all. "Too junior to hold ATL" means you couldn't get there on this bid. But once you were able to bid there (when you were no longer "too junior"), then expect 3-6 months on RSV. Then a line.
