Nice to see ATL and DTW going to new hires again.

I agree. Hoping for more ATL assignments to drop as classes finish.

Nice to see a class of 18. Smaller classes for a few months might help negotiations. Maybe this will be a trend but with new hires getting ATL we may see more ASA pilots coming.

I was told next class has 40, not sure why there's such a difference between the two. About 1/3 of the class of 18 is former ASA and I imagine there are many more on the way. ASA has some sort of big retention program paid out at the end of the year so I would expect a big wave after that

I suspect if the October classes have 40 and ATL continues to grow, you will probably see some new hires getting the -900 in ATL. Bid -900 ATL followed by -200 ATL if thats what you want. Curious if ATL went senior in the class and what the age ranges were for the ATL bid award.

I sure hope they offer another ATL CR9 vacancy before they give them out to new hires! Some of us are still waiting the opportunity as they went senior to our class.

Positions cannot be awarded to newhires until all pilots on property have had the chance to bid on them. Each final award says 'X available to Newhires' next to unfilled vacancies.

Got it. My point was that not all new hires have had the chance yet for the ATL CR9.

From the last vacancy, there were 3 positions open to new hire pilots in atl. With the 3 New Hires getting ATL 200 FO in the most recent class, All the vacancies in Atlanta have been awarded (unless one of those 3 people resign). There won’t be any more new hires getting ATL in Indoc until another vacancy closes (especially on the 900). Of course the earlier you get here, the earlier you can hold ATL when it becomes available.

There are still 15 available positions in DTW, but those will probably go senior in the class they are awarded in.

Already here in the 900. Didn’t want to swap to 200 to get ATL and apparently no one else did in my class or later (hence the 3 awarded in indoc recently). My point was that incoming new hires need to understand that there still are people here waiting for their chance to get ATL in the 900.
