I live in the Atlanta area. Since I probably wouldn't get Atlanta out of training, I'd like to choose a location that is the easiest to commute to.

They enjoy it. Is it easy to find a place to live or stay while on reserve.

Plenty of crashpads around. Hotels in NYC are steep, I've heard of good success using Airbnb.

Sounds like a plan that can work easy. Not the best but ideal for an easy 2 hour flight to start a trip. What's the going monthly rate for a crash pad?

Yeah, but every time I've seen it used, or had to use it, I have opened the book to make sure it was done right, no way would I go just off memory to verify that.



I agree that we spend way too much time on unnecessary stuff in training, but that's the FAA for ya.

This is what AQP is supposed to fix. Train what really needs to be trained based on FOQA, Line checks, Sim checks, ground school feedback, ect... Not just checking a box based on an antiquated FAA time sheet.
