I agree with him. I like flying, and the short legs on the 200 give me a lot more of that. Bidding #15 in position a few months after OE wasn't bad either. When/if a time comes that the 900 would give me better QOL, I'll probably move over, but until then "the Classic" is fulfilling the reason I chose this career a lot better.

Fair enough man and to each their own. However, to me this is a job. I don't go to the airport and take pictures of planes on my time off either ( I've flown with dudes who do...). I want to do the least amount of flying (legs) while having the most efficient duty days. Get in, do my work and get the hell out; period. The more time that door is open and I'm punching crap into the FMS is time being wasted in my eyes. Give me one six hour leg a day and I'm golden.

I could have stayed on the 200 and been #1, still was worth it for a better schedule to be 20+ on the 900. Long legs are a change but it beats a day of DTW LAN, MBS, GRR turns. Few more dollars, few more days home, can't beat it.
Oh and the snacks really are a good bonus.

Ok, I admit, it's hard to beat those caramel bites!! Don't think I won't be sneaking down some jetbridges when the 900s come to ATL...

As typed above, to each their own. I have flown with people who have been flying the 200 for 10-25 years, and the majority seem to prefer the 200. Recently flew with two CAs who upgraded to the 200 from the 900, and both said they will never go back to the 900. Utter boredom is not for everyone. Some people like to remain busy.
Not to mention that a "comfy" three-hour flight with a cockpit mate you either don't get along with, or who is about as conversational as a fence post isn't very appealing, either. Then again, I am sure you are used to excessively long legs, from whence you came.
