Twelve reps voted for regressive bargaining, we got parked, the membership didn't like being parked, not when the table positions were known in JULY, and it was obvious that a deal somewhere in the middle would actually exceed direction.
The coalition fell apart, and the MEC sent our boys back to the table with direction to cut a rational deal.
Bill Bartels, Tom Brielmann, Ryan Schnitzler and Tom Bell got us parked in August. We would still be parked if they had their way, and now they want the keys to the store. No thanks! Go fly the line, and stay far away from any decision that affects my life.

Actually, the Reps who voted for "regressive bargaining" were the Reps and MEC Chairman who chose to send us last year's P.O.S. Tentative Agreement(TA). If anyone wants to point fingers, lets start with the CBA, those elected to represent their constituents, sending a TA to its membership that was voted down by 65% of this pilot group.
They sure did... Most were recalled, taken away from their Flight Pay Loss teet that they'd become so accustomed to, other than the Chairman, who smartly resigned before losing his (proverbial) head to the angry masses. Where's his wife? Remember she was even trying to sell the POS TA-2015 on the Facebook page? (What a joke.)
Oh the irony. Where to begin.... One, we would've never been parked if it hadn't been for the incompetent Donut-yelli crowd leading up to POS TA-2015 and two, those Reps recalled due to their lack of representation, are doing just that, "going to fly the line, and hopefully staying far away from any future decisions that affect my life".

There's nothing to "debate" because the timeline is public knowledge, and still posted on the ALPA website.

Ok, so your saying you were in Ed Bastians head when the final deal was made. I guess there is no debating with that! But for the rest of us, who is to say that show of backbone (regressive bargaining in your book) didn't influence the final outcome 3 weeks later. Maybe it influenced no changes to PS or no more large RJs. How do you KNOW it did not?
The coalition fell apart, and the MEC sent our boys back to the table with direction to cut a rational deal.
And this is exactly where this MEC succeeded where the last failed. When presented with a deal that will pass membership ratification by a significant amount, they realized it and modified their position. Unlike the last MEC who was so out of touch with the pilot group it's pitiful.

Wow, really?!?
From someone who tried to sell C2015 as boom or bust. Forgive me, but I will take the judgement Of BBST over that of those who thought there was nothing left on the table. Indeed, more was there than the current NC, MEC chair, and the non-12 thought possible. Thank you again, 12.
I will thank you to exercise your own decree: Go fly the line, and stay far away from any decision that affects my life.

There is no "twelve." They folded into five like a cheap suit when it became clear to them that continuing their sandbagging was going to interfere with their political ambitions. Roger Goodwin's manifesto didn't move the needle towards the deal, it got us parked. Your majority lasted about a year, so congratulations.
I am living by that decree, by the way. See you at work.

I think they are a bit shell-shocked these days. You'll notice most of the more prominent ones have gone social media silent.
They didn't think the union would even be able to function without them let alone negotiate a vastly improved TA with full retro.
Recent events have been pretty embarrassing for them. All their doom and gloom predictions were wrong.
Right now their #1 objective is to stop Bartels from becoming MEC Chairman.
After that, we'll see.

The maneuvering for MEC elections started weeks ago...
Look at the Council 54 elections...the MEC Chairman wrote an email that was included in the Council 54 Chairman's campaign letter attempting to claim that there was no politics being played by the candidate...Vote buying?
Sure looks like it and an MEC Chairman meddling in a local council election is pretty low, even for DALPA.

You time is up. Enjoy the last 3 years and try to find some peace in your gift of extended airline life. JM said he wanted a contract and was going back to the line. He has apparently had a change of heart shocker. He campaigned and, was willing to settle for much less, including scope and profit share no relief. Nope!
