No vote now gets you a 6% raise

I agree with all that.
So, in light of all that, why would the company flat out refuse to lock in the gains we have at the moment? We're supposedly seconds away from the complete elimination of the code share, but the company says they will go to the mat protecting their option for massive code share abuse in SEA with AS.
Why?

No, actually I quit there a long time ago. I asked Ken to delete my profile and haven't been back since. I didn't have the address either. But thanks for playing. Maybe I'll see you there. Oh, popcorn's done.

Where is the complaining about other employees getting a raise. Good for them. I always thought they would get a raise and 3b4 would lift us up if the company decided to drag this on. What this means is we will be getting a 6% raise if we vote No. Seems pretty straight forward.
Before today, the tune was if you vote no, we will not get a raise for a very long time. Now it is, if you vote no, I guess you'll get a 6% raise, but but but there is no way you will ever get anything more than that for a very long time.

I think I'm done with CC. The few guys over there wanting to reject the contract for anything and everything including what they "interpret" to be a 13% pay bump by voting this down. I think they are going to be mistaken when this thing still overwhelmingly gets voted in. I'm happy for the non contract folks..

We asked for it, both last time and this time, and they said no way in heck and dug in their heels. Ask anyone on the NC. That's what I was told by them, both last summer and this summer WRT both TA's.

There is an infamous story dating back to 1972. Richard Nixon was re-elected in a landslide over George McGovern. Pauline Kael (who died just a few years ago) was a somewhat well-known critic, literary figure, etc. She was a traditional "New York liberal." She was famously quoted after the election as saying "I can't believe Nixon won, because I don't know anyone who voted for him."
Reminds me of the CC crowd, the same small group of folks telling each other what they want to hear and tolerating no dissent. Eventually they get to thinking that the rest of the universe actually thinks in lockstep with them, but in fact their little insular bubble is exactly that--a small, insular bubble that represents nothing more than the members within it.

Both your posts were a little over the top. In the first you used the word 'abuse' (which I did not highlight). In the second, you state that 'them' told you that. Not buying that. Sorry.

Oh, and I will leave this here too. (From another forum)

Yeah, our deal sucks.
