People like to throw that out there for some reason, yet they don't seem to know what they are talking about. My pay gets bumped to 5:15 a duty period, and I finally get cancellation pay protection. The rest of the raise is the same thing you get.

I didn't see any "5:15" in Section 11.

You fail to mention, as most SLIs do, that you get paid the highest rate that you can hold (in your position) as a result of your status as an instructor. That results in a pay raise the is NOT "the same thing as you." SLIs average around 25% more pay than their peers that are holding the same category on the line.

That might be true, but after watching the same mistakes at the same time over and over and over, I would want to kill myself. It's not a job that I personally want to do. But it is like anything here. It's open to you if you want to go for that extra wampum.

True this. And when you look at how it's pretty much a mission impossible for any commuter, it seems like a pretty peachy gig (pun intended) for those who drive golf carts to kids' soccer games.
