Because if it is, you are wrong.
Or are you saying they got an average of 3% per year?

Just saw the SWA TA last night, FULL retro to amendable date is correct.

You are correct, QOL gives and all you get is industry average pay rates. If I am going to settle for industry average pay rates (which is what I expected) during years of consecutive record breaking profits I would need a whole lot more QOL gains. Vacation weeks and increased value, training pay, more 2x pay opportunity, sick leave that is unquestioned, medical coverage that costs me significantly less, higher DC, profit sharing paid quarterly, better trip mix, more ability to drop trips, 2 summer days off back, better JV ratios etc.

Full retro will be had after a legal strike, and possibly merely from the cooling off period for one. You'd be surprised how cheap it will be compared to a total and complete stoppage. Remember the "computer meltdown"? Multiply that by months and see how much they save

They didn't get 4 years of DOS retro because they never would have gotten nearly as big a raise 4 years ago regardless.
If we keep getting blown by and end up getting a 30% raise a couple years from now, I'd still be fine with 2016 earnings getting around 18% retro because that's about what we'd be getting anyway. Future years may be higher however.
They cannot be rewarded for abusing the RLA demanding concessions during periods of historic profits so unbelievably high they literally resorted to burning it like a pile of autumn leaves.
