I think there should be some NYC 7ER spots for new hires. I believe there were 35 added summer manning spots that went un-filled. The # out vs # in we're a net wash.

Why do you think that? I have no idea. Just wondering.

The initial bids on a new airplane usually do go fairly senior. Probably because the company usually trains people and then they sit and wait for deliveries of the aircraft. IOW, they could possibly sit for a few months and not do anything but go to the sim for initial and then recency. Not a bad deal. Cost of introducing a new air frame for the company.

What Denny said. Plus it's a plane that has a spacious cockpit with state of the art technology, no yoke, good payrate and due to the fuel efficient 3300nm range will likely have 737 style pairings with 1 or 2 legs a day. I'm guessing the short legs will stick with the range challenged 717 or gas hog 88

agree with everything but the legs. I also think it goes senior to the 88 for the comfort and automation level. BUT i think it will be used on long legs sparingly

With a cockpit design like that, it doesn't matter. I'll never forget my first 5 leg day on the bus after transitioning from the 737. "dang... give me a couple more, this is awesome!"

yep..never felt fatigued flying the bus.

Here's to hoping the C-series gets based in ATL at some point..but not looking likely as of now.
