YGTBFSM. Be psyched to have the job and know that in a couple months or years that you'll be where ever you want to be. It's an airline job, so nothing happens fast or exactly the way we want it to for everyone!
It's still a process of multiple decisions that could involve where you and your family live within consecutive days that isn't normal. So it's not like previous groups have been going through the same thing.

You can’t talk like that. You’re probably encroaching on his personal safe space.

I see your point but... here's hoping I'm that unlucky

Is it true after the second rebid, the #1 person in class had buyers remorse and complained so much they actually had a rebid for that guy?

If true that's easy. You can bid at Spirit, JB, AA, or United as your services are no longer required.

The only way complaining like that would end in a rebid is if they just kick that person out and then had to rebid with him or her gone.

So the new hire seat lock went from 2 years to like 2 days? That must be entertaining.

Unless you want to be MSP based.

"Unless you want to be MSP based."

Amigo. Even MSP has folks that have moved in under 12 months of employment. It may be slower than desired, but it still happens. Don't be worried about immediacy in this industry, but doing the best based upon current circumstances. All will settle out eventually, even if a base has difficulties in the short term....

Don't worry....be happy!! Thousands of people want to be in your position!

I'm not worried about it but was just pointing out that MSP can be a very tough nut to crack. In MSP, the plug on the 7ER got hired over 3 years ago and for the 320 almost 2 years ago. The plug on the 737 got hired Jan 2017. The only folks that got in under 12 months were a handful of MD88 FOs and we all know what their fate is going to be. I'm on year 9 and have remained stagnant because very rarely do people junior to me backfill my category. They almost always come in senior to me. Not complaining about it but that is just the way it's been. There is a good chance that MSP will see a 717 base and the 737 category will continue to grow in MSP. My best guess would be the 737 would be a new hires quickest ticket to being MSP based but it wont come quick.
