Don't come here for the contract. SWA will have one years before us.
ADD TO THE ABOVE: Many concessions brought to you via AIP. With that many concessions, the company needed to come with 26,7,7 full retro, retirement and PS.

Nope, no email. The NO 12 don't want this to get out to the masses. This was disclosed in open session this past week. The Retro Pay email put out by the Strategic Planning committee this past week was NOT a justification on why the Co couldn't afford retro, it was to show how much we are getting ready to walk away from because at this point the Co IS willing to pay full retro. But if we walk from this deal & get parked: retro disappears. It'll become some sort of signing bonus, at a fraction of full retro, not pensionable and not paid out to recent retirees.

Where did this retirement ask come from? It wasn't part of our re-opener or any survey I've taken...and I've taken them all. We have a retirement now that's in our names & vested every 15 days that the Co or a judge can't touch. The AIP's were brought to you via direct involvement of the full MEC and micromanaging of the NC. They were voted on and overwhelmingly approved by the very same MEC that now doesn't want to bring this to a TA. Where did 26 come from? Our ask was 22, 7,7. Not 26. How many years are you willing to hold out for another couple %?

The real missing piece is scope. Does the scope AIP put the company immediately into compliance? Do we give up more wide body flying? If so, this is one item no for me...I'm willing to wait a LONG time to protect/get back scope.

I have no idea, haven't seen any scope AIP's at all.

Then how can you indignantly blast the MEC for turning down 18/5/5, full retro, etc... if you haven't seen the whole thing?

Have YOU seen the whole thing? Right, no one has. They can't get beyond pay because of unrealistic positions outside the ask & surveys. Rather than stonewalling an untenable position, empower the NC to bring it to a TA. THEN debate the merits of the entire package and let the membership decide if it's good enough. As it is, the negotiating process has been highjacked and bogged down by micromanagenent of a few who are willing to derail the entire process and get us parked for years as a result.

So you're the guy. I was wondering who gets to determine what's realistic and unrealistic, and now I know. It's you.

I'm glad to see the product being contested within the MEC. That's a much better alternative to a bunch of company yes men selling our QOL for pay rates.

The company paid over $80 million to an ex-CEO from Jan. 1 through July. 1 person. The union didn't even ask for full restoration in its proposal. Only side being unreasonable is the company, especially if they deem it alright to pay 1 person over $80 million in 8 months.
