New TA rumor

New TA rumor
I am surprised I haven't read anything here about it yet. Maybe it's a rumor not worthy of APC consideration, but while jumpseating to work yesterday, the crew said there was a rumor of a TA. 14/4/4/4 raises, no changes to profit sharing. I don't have any other details because the crew didn't have any other details.
The Captain did qualify his remarks that it was a "RUMOR". I took that to mean either it was a random comment from somebody not involved with negotiations or from a source he wasn't confident in.
I figure since no one is talking about it here, maybe it's not valid.
Who knows.

We have to hit 19% 1/1/16 to exceed all the United hourly rates.
The MEC is acutely aware and will not settle for less.
Repackaged concessions.
If we don't get every second of vacation in our counterproposal I believe it will have trouble passing .
The 14% thing is a trail balloon by the Apple Dumpling Gang.

Ladies and Gentlemen talk to your reps. They will tell you that we haven't even talked pay yet (section 3 as someone else stated). This MEC is aware of what it will take to not only pass but pass with a large margin. Those numbers won't do it.

No TA until they decide to negotiate. Just got home from a 6 day trip, we were proactive, if not, at least one leg could have been delayed for many hours. Maybe cancelled. Ed, Steve and Jim better get a handle on how much we're helping.

Why?
This is not an attack on you so please don't take it that way. I see guys here talk about backpacks off, I fly with guys wearing orange who are up in arms about the company, yet when push comes to shove they always seem to go the extra mile and make stuff happen above and beyond. Hell, I flew with a captain last week who helped clean the plane so we could make an on-time push. I seriously don't get it.
Until management feels pain they are unlikely to negotiate in good faith. Is flying per the FOM a status quo violation? If not, why are we shooting ourselves in the foot by making things easy on management?
