I'd say 20% of the captains I fly with on the 320 are wearing orange. The last guy I flew with who was wearing orange was an admitted yes voter for our failed TA. Hard to understand why the no voters can't get onboard and display some unity.

Between my regional and NWA/Delta I've been flying for 21 years. Up until the lanyards were distributed I had never worn one. I dislike them and won't wear one once the contract is settled. To hear guys use the "I'm not a lanyard guy" excuse is weak. I'm not one either but it's a very minor inconvenience considering others are working very hard on my behalf.

I feel the same way about wearing lanyard, literally a pain in the neck, but I gladly wear my orange lanyard as a big FU to management's last offer.

If this next TA is weak, it will be because so many of these non-lanyard guys have done it to themselves. Their apathy is noted and reported on by every CPO in the system. The next apathy check will be on June 24. If there is a weak turnout, expect another garbage TA. If we aren't willing to stand up for ourselves and demand a better contact, who will?

Seems to be a flavor of default 'no' vote for this group.... lanyard or not.

Likely the product of the fart in the elevator that was the last ta. Another unsatisfactory product could result in an even larger margin of rejection.

Far too many backpacks on.

Concur.

EB's recent statement predicting an imminent TA was meant to keep the wheels greased through summer. Our current contract will stand until the next "Black Swan" event when the company will demand concessions for survival.

It's all intentional.

Well I'll be... Thought that I read in a Star-Trib article that EB was optimistic about a TA this summer (I am aware of JM's comments about a TA this summer).

Since I can't find the article, I retract my statement.

Repackaged concessions.

If we don't get every second of vacation in our counterproposal I believe it will have trouble passing .

The 14% thing is a trail balloon by the Apple Dumpling Gang.
Exactly. UAL+ with zero concessions is the absolute theoretical floor. Even that won't MEMRAT if we don't get a real vacation system. 3:15 a day with 0:15 pay/no credit is absolutely unacceptable. Close to or above 5 hours a day pay and credit, with no ability to pick up more, should be the absolute floor.

My fleet, the 765, seems pretty orange.
That's because the pilots don't want to be confused with EasyJet pilots on the layovers.

After 6 or 7 walk arounds they're black from all the dirt/oil/mud/tar that drips off those things like dollar bills at a strip club.
